Many years ago, I found Peter Kingsley's books. He started as a scholar, a young renowned academic, after he combined his knowledge of philosophy and philology, and discovered the hidden truth, that Greek philosophers were not the root of Academic Philosophy, but magicians.
He translated ancient Greek texts using the knowledge that came from artifacts as charms, amphoras, and other objects from the ancient world. By connecting the meaning of words to the proper use, he expected to have a more accurate picture of what the ancient philosophers wanted to say. What he translated had very little to do with the official translations that ran through the academic world.

One of his main objects of study was Parmenides, a philosopher who preceded Socrates. Only fragments of his work have survived, but he has been credited to the invention of logic. Kingsley discovered that was a misinterpretation. Parmenides was a wise man, a philosopher, who practiced magic to connect with the gods, and brought wisdom from the underworld. His words were not logical conundrums, they were paradoxes created to enlighten the mind of those who heard them, as the Japanese koans.
But Peter Kingsley didn't stop there. He tried the techniques the Ancient Greeks used to communicate with the gods. And they worked.
The transformation this brought upon him changed his world. He resigned from the Academia and became a mystic. He is still active, extracting knowledge from the underworld.
I talked with Peter Kingsley once. He played the oracle for me. When I told him I wanted to help, he answered: "Take care of your garden."
It took me years before I had a garden, and now I have one. And I know what happens outside reflects what happens inside. This year my balcony garden is blossoming, full of flowers. I have never had it so pretty. Just like Heka-ICRE is blossoming, full of inspiration and ideas.
The journey to the Underworld is not for those who get scared easily. It doesn't matter how seasoned you are in the art of magic once you go there you will discover something that will change your world and others.
Everything is real
Ancient Greeks would do this journey to heal and to extract knowledge. They would go to a cave, close their eyes and open the door of perception that lies inside ourselves. They travelled to the goddess, and she would give them not only initiations but also information about how to improve our world. Democracy, medicine and laws came from those travels.
I have travelled there a few times. Every time is different for me. Every time I extract something of value. Last time it was a few weeks ago. After the trip, I got in contact with a deep sadness that was the door to another aspect of myself I was not acknowledging.
I want to share with you today the technique of going to the Underworld. It is amazingly simple, but it is precious and highly effective. You should go there and discover what the goddess has in store for you, because everything is real.
How to travel to the Underworld.
Look for a quiet and comfortable place. It could be on the couch or a bed. You can do this when you are totally awake, and stay there for hours, or just before going to bed, and your dreams will give you the answers you are looking for. Both experiences are valid.
Ask Apollo for help. This is a solar god, but he is the key for the trip. He has to give you lend you his chariot with his mares, and they will guide you to the Underworld. Parmenides talks about the sound of a pipe when you are going under. I have never heard it, but if you do, it is a sign that you are going there.
While you travel, try to get into a deeper and deeper state of relaxation. Remember that the door is not outside, it is inside your own darkness, the darkness that appears when you close your eyes.
Once you get there, talk to the goddess. This goddess has many names, Persephone, Hekate, but for Parmenides, she was just the goddess. Ask her for wisdom. You can ask for a particular situation, not only psychological or initiatory, also related to your job. One function of the gods is giving creation to us, new solutions we could never had thought of. Or you can let her give you what you need.
If you feel adventurous, you can also talk to Hades. He is even more terrifying, but he can give you a different perspective.
Remember, you are in the death's land. The dead could try to capture you and all your fears will be manifested. If you are trapped, the best attitude is to surrender. Your ego will die, one of the many deaths you will have to go through before realizing who you truly are. It's not important.
Have you gone to the Underworld? I want to know everything about your travels. You can comment here.
