Preface
In my first article about Imagination as a Tool, to introduce things, I talked about the following main points:
The work of imagination pioneer Robert Monroe. Among other things, he was an engineer, an out-of-the-body experiencer, and the creator of Hemi-Sync.
Monroe’s protégé, Bruce Moen, who carried on his mentor’s work in exploring the afterlife.
Mindful Wish Magic, and that imagination could form a ‘bridge’ to your results.
In this piece, I will introduce you to a simple magical ceremony. All you need to do is to plug-in to the most important or immediate goal you need to achieve right now.
An Operative Magical Ceremony – Needs’ Assessment
First things first: operative magic is when you have a goal in mind. For example, I want to be successful in my job or career hunt. Your goal could be much more lasered: I want to get the currently posted job of Executive Assistant for Dr. Strange.
I strongly feel your initial steps before performing this ritual should be to narrow down what you need. What you need could be what you want as well. Only you will know. Examine your pressing needs right now, prioritize them, then decide which of those needs you will perform Wish Magic on. Here are two copies of a fictitious list of three pressing things in my life. The first list isn’t prioritized:
Have an opportunity to collaborate with Joan Jett on LinkedIn
Get the job of Dr. Strange’s Executive Assistant
Afford a bigger apartment
Now let’s prioritize:
Get the job of Dr. Strange’s Executive Assistant
Afford a bigger apartment
Have an opportunity to collaborate with Joan Jett on LinkedIn
First Things First – Reality Check
Ask yourself one question: “Is this feasible?”
If something’s not doable, not feasible in your world, I’d quite frankly hold off on it, or do something else. We must work with what’s possible. I can ‘fly’ with a parachute or in a few other ways, but not by flapping my arms.
Gathering and Objectifying Your Resources and Tools
Taking my example of getting the job of Dr. Strange’s Executive Assistant, I am going to surround myself with as many magical resources and tools as I can. We often call these accoutrements in magic. I’d want to print, perhaps, a screen capture of the good Doctor’s website; maybe even the page of the job offer. I’d dress for success before the ritual. I’d have worked through a behavioural or other interview process in my mind, or even written that down, as the applicant.
Most importantly: I’d see myself in the job already.
Imagination, as a bridge, can take you from zero to a hundred. Remember, you don’t ‘lack’ this job. You aren’t missing the experience, expertise, or savvy. All those things are in your sphere of influence. The ones that aren’t, well, imagine yourself possessing them. If the job location isn’t online, go to its physical location and walk around. Walk in the lobby. Imagine yourself picking up that coffee, tea, muffin just before you arrive at work. See yourself as Dr. Strange should see you: competent, confident, complete.
Ritual Steps
When it comes to Law of Attraction things like this, I use my imagination to visualize all that I am or will Become. I focus casting my initial ‘spell’ in one session. If you prefer ritualizing such a session, try the following:
Dress for success.
Prepare your ritual chamber. Use the printouts you generated earlier, add music, and add any other touches you feel will help you successfully BE the outcome. In the case of interviewing for Dr. Strange, well, you’ll want a chair, at least.
Choose a way to formally begin the ritual. Many of us in magic ring a bell or chime a chime nine times to ‘break’ the existing atmosphere and signal change.
Imagine yourself being called into the good doctor’s office.
Confidently introduce yourself, and in case he was too busy to remember, once that’s done, hand him your CV.
Answer some pre-prepared behavioural questions.
When he asks you if you have anything else to add, add something that will clinch your position as his Number 1 candidate.
Thank him, get up and leave, confidently.
Leave it alone.
These of kinds of rituals are best left to, like the sorcerer’s fetch, go out and do their thing. Move onto the rest of your life with zest, energy, and confidence.
